ARTIST STATEMENT
Music serves as the ultimate shelter, a safe haven where we can process and navigate moments of human crisis, trauma, and grief. As a classical singer, I experience music as a free, transient channel for emotional expression. Yet, because sound vanishes the moment the final note fades, its comforting embrace is fleeting. The collection UNseen UNheard UNtouched aims to transform this ephemeral sanctuary into a permanent, tactile forms. By translating the emotional depth and structure of Gluck’s opera “Orfeo ed Euridice” into physical jewellery, the pieces become wearable anchors. It allows the safe haven found within music to be permanently seen, touched, and worn, offering a physical boundary where internal chaos is stabilised and sheltered.
