Statement

"My work is undoubtedly a tribute and dedication to the underwater world. With the *Undersurface* Collection, I strive to represent the beauty of the coral reef, showcasing its wonderful forms and rich colors. I aim to create an immersive and soothing effect for the viewer through the intricate details it offers. It is heartbreaking that today, this dreamlike nature of the oceans is facing extinction."

About the Artist

Aişegül Telli is a jewelry artist based in Istanbul, who graduated in Chemistry in 2009. She found herself searching for a suitable language to transform her emotions and impressions into contemporary art. From darkroom photography to digital underwater photography, from fashion styling to watercolor painting, she explored various creative fields. After taking jewelry classes, she realized that these small wearable sculptures were the most fulfilling form of expression, capable of speaking to both viewers and wearers. Every idea, and consequently every piece, pushed her to experiment with new materials, each one becoming a new language.

In 2014, she launched her first collection, *Undersurface*, inspired by her diving experiences in the Indian Ocean. Her jewelry has been exhibited in countries including Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Portugal, Brazil, Israel, China, the United States, and Turkey. She has received awards in Italy, and her work has been showcased at prestigious art fairs such as SOFA Chicago, Art Aspen, and Form Miami.
