Carolina Gomes' ongoing jewelry series is inspired by the magical world of coral reefs. Born and raised by the sea, this closeness has given the artist a deep connection to the sea. The jewels are sculptures made of polymer clay and silver. Unique pieces, handcrafted by the artist.
The artist sees the world as a large stage on which various forces and energies move. Being open and observing the different details and different perspectives brings us closer to understanding life. The idea behind the work is to mix strange shapes and colors adding a playful, creative, sensorial and authentic touch.
