It was a night of pale moonlight, a night at the end of the 20th century, a night in which the old world ends and the new one begins, a night in which one trembles, clutching the crucifix against the heart, in the passage towards fatherhood.



That night I chose as my crucifix Dan Simmons' novel Hyperion, a majestic work of science fiction that celebrates the infinite legend of the French Jesuit Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, researcher, paleontologist, theologian and philosopher of the 20th century.

And I read, drawing great comfort from it, up to the reflections of the dawn, up to the first flashes of light from the east. I read about the future of man, the celebration of transhumanism and the evolutionary leap of humanity augmented by machines.

I have rarely loved a book so much, rarely have I loved a thinker so much. And that evening I read what man thought he saw in the tombs of time.



I am in love with words at the service of matter, when they fertilize each other to bring poetry into our bottles. So, a few years ago I was talking about the work of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin to one of the last living vestiges of this triumphant 20th century, and I said: "So, Teilhard de Chardin: a brilliant precursor?". A look, a silence and four words as the only answer, four unexpected words in my father's whisper: “GHOST IN THE SHELL”.



Here is the birth certificate that creates the soul of the perfume. The rest is poetry to be experienced first-hand.



Pierre Teilhard de Chardin died in 1955, but his soul travels eternally. This perfume continues this journey by fusing with Japanese artist Masamune Shirow to transcend the spirit of the Earth.

Combining biotech and natural ingredients, Ghost in the shell silently celebrates the wake of the future and in a whisper heralds the coming of the day when, by providence or chance, reunited and organized humanity will merge consciousnesses in the infosphere to create a being superior and will pass from inertia to life, just as molecules come together to create new life, and the great evolutionary leap will take place, the starting and arrival point of transhumanism.
